Cepsa Selects thyssenkrupp nucera for Major Green Hydrogen Plant in Spain

thyssenkrupp nucera has been chosen by Cepsa as the preferred supplier to outfit a new green hydrogen plant in Spain with a 300-MW electrolyzer. This collaboration occurs within the framework of the Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley initiative, aiming to enhance green hydrogen production capacity in Europe.

The green hydrogen facility, part of a broader strategy to establish large-scale hydrogen production in Southern Spain, is set to utilize thyssenkrupp nucera's advanced alkaline water electrolysis technology. This initiative positions both companies at the forefront of Europe's transition towards sustainable energy solutions.

The plant will be located in Huelva’s La Rábida Energy Park, contributing significantly to the regional economy by potentially creating new jobs and advancing technological capabilities in renewable energy generation.
