Cerrado Gold Announces Start of Exploration Campaign at Minera Don Nicolás Mine

Cerrado Gold Inc. has commenced a new exploration campaign at its Minera Don Nicolás mine in Santa Cruz, Argentina. The operation focuses on the high-grade Goleta target and the Calandrias North down plunge extension, with an initial drilling program of 3,000 meters. This initiative aims to extend the Life of Mine and augment total mineral resources.

The immediate goal is to feed additional high-grade ore to the existing CIL Plant. A drill rig is already on site, with the first hole being drilled at Goleta. The new discoveries would supplement the company's recent mineral resource estimate, which forecasts a 5-year mine life and a Net Present Value of US$111 million at $2,100 gold.

Mark Brennan, CEO and Chairman, expressed optimism about expanding the resource base beyond the existing 5-year plan. This drilling initiative is intended to be the first step in a broader exploration program across the company's extensive land package.
