CGG Changes Name to Viridien

On May 15, 2024, at the Annual General Meeting, the shareholders of CGG approved a resolution to rename the company to Viridien. Sophie Zurquiyah, CEO of the newly named Viridien, stated that the rebranding reflects both a nod to the company's heritage and its ambitions for future growth as an Advanced Technology, Digital, and Earth Data Company.

The company announced that it will officially introduce the Viridien brand on June 10 at the EAGE Annual Conference in Oslo. This launch is expected to expand its reach, particularly in Geoscience, Earth Data, and Sensing & Monitoring, while also entering new sectors such as Minerals & Mining and CCS. Additionally, Viridien will engage in markets beyond its traditional scope, focusing on High-Performance Computing and Infrastructure Monitoring.
