CGift AG Becomes DWK Deutsche Wasserkraft AG and Undergoes Strategic Reorganisation

CGift AG has announced its transformation into DWK Deutsche Wasserkraft AG following 100% shareholder approval at its Annual General Meeting. This reorganisation focuses on the development, acquisition, and operation of small hydro run-of-river power plants across Europe.

DWK Deutsche Wasserkraft AG aims to capitalize on Europe’s growing small hydropower sector and contribute to climate neutrality. Renowned experts in the renewable energy sector, Jan Erik Schulien and Henning Rath, have been appointed to the Management Board. Shareholders also approved a capital increase through the issuance of up to 300,000 new shares.

The company highlights hydropower's efficiency and low CO2 footprint, outperforming other renewable sources like wind and solar power. DWK’s main focus will be on small hydro plants, which have minimal environmental impact and are cost-effective. With substantial market potential in Norway, DWK plans to leverage its expertise and robust network to drive growth.
