Charwood Energy modernizes a methanization site in Brittany
Charwood Energy, a specialist in biomass energy recovery, has announced the modernization of a biogas plant in Brittany. The main improvement involves the installation of a 1 MW electric biogas engine, along with an infrastructure upgrade, including the multi-product dryer. The latter optimizes food self-sufficiency and the drying of wood energy.
The project, signed in February 2025, will begin shortly and be commissioned in the third quarter of 2025. This contract contributes to an order book now valued at more than €6 million, billable over two years.
The modernization allows for increased conversion of biogas into electricity and heat, thus optimizing the digestion process. The biogas engine will ensure performance and reliability. According to CEO Adrien Haller, this project demonstrates a commitment to a sustainable energy transition and increased autonomy for farms.
