Charwood Energy Secures Contract for Innovative Heat Network in France

Charwood Energy has been awarded a contract to design and construct a turnkey heat network for Les Sablons in the Oise department, France. This project involves creating a biomass boiler unit to supply renewable energy to a swimming pool and gym in Méru. The initiative is part of Les Sablons’ efforts to enhance its energy transition using locally sourced miscanthus as biomass fuel.

This project aligns with France's Regional Climate-Air-Energy Plan, promoting renewable energy and reducing emissions. It aims to cut CO2 emissions by 300 metric tons annually, fostering a circular economy and reducing fossil fuel reliance. Charwood Energy will handle all aspects of the project, utilizing two biomass boilers with a combined capacity of 1,350 Kw. The heat network will span 330 meters, ensuring optimized energy efficiency.

Revenue is expected to surpass €2 million, with project commencement slated for mid-2025 and boiler delivery for early 2026.
