'Chengdu Panda Week' Brings Cultural Exchange to Europe
The Chengdu Information Office organized a series of events from October 24 to 27 across major European cities such as Frankfurt, Vienna, Paris, and Brussels. This initiative, termed "Chengdu Panda Week," aimed at promoting cultural exchange using the giant panda as an emblematic figure of Chengdu, China.
The events celebrated the 50th anniversary of China-EU diplomatic relations. Activities included panda-themed parades, art exhibitions, and commercial dialogues. One notable exhibition in Paris highlighted the deep cultural ties with pandas, featuring over 200 diverse works. Meanwhile, Brussels hosted an ecological exhibition focused on Chengdu's environment.
These events facilitated dialogues on urban green governance and biodiversity, emphasizing Chengdu's approach to ecological integration. Chengdu's relations with EU countries continue to strengthen, highlighted by robust trade and investment ties.
