Clearvise AG Inks Long-Term Power Purchase Agreement for Solar Energy in France
clearvise AG, a key player in renewable energy, has reached a significant deal by signing a long-term Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for its Chassiecq solar park in France. This agreement with Tokai COBEX marks clearvise’s first corporate PPA, setting a cornerstone in its strategy to expand its renewable energy portfolio.
The Chassiecq solar park, located in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, boasts a capacity of 36.4 MWp. With connectivity to the grid expected by late 2024, it is projected to produce over 47 GWh annually. The PPA ensures Tokai COBEX, a global manufacturer of carbon and graphite products, a continuous energy supply for its French factories for 11 years.
This project underlines clearvise’s commitment to the French market, enhancing its portfolio through the clearPARTNERS program. The energy company, collaborating with Hamburg’s LNF Energy and a local developer, demonstrates a seamless synergy in realizing the solar park’s development and construction. clearvise’s CEO, Petra Leue-Bahns, highlighted the importance of this partnership with Tokai COBEX, aligning with the company's goals to meet industrial electricity demands sustainably.
Both companies expressed enthusiasm about the PPA. Tokai COBEX views it as a milestone towards achieving net-zero emissions, emphasizing their focus on sustainable growth. LNF Energy acknowledged the partnership’s role in the project's success, appreciating the collaborative effort and expertise shared among the teams.
