CMC Metals Ltd. Plans Geophysical Studies at Silverknife and Amy Properties
Vancouver, BC / Accesswire / June 4, 2024 -- CMC Metals Ltd. (TSXV:CMB)(FRA:ZM5P)(OTCQB:CMCXF) ("CMC" or the "Company") announces plans to initiate geophysical studies at its Silverknife and Amy properties. The aim is to define potential drill targets using CSAMT and Induced Polarization techniques. These studies will focus on areas identified as highly conductive by previous airborne geophysics.
The 2021 SkyTEM survey revealed significant conductivity anomalies in both properties. The identified targets include high-grade silver-lead-zinc deposits. The planned resistivity studies are expected to refine these targets, distinguishing between materials like limestones and granites, which are key to mineralization in the Rancheria Silver District.
Historical data and recent surveys indicate large conductivity anomalies, particularly in the Tootsee North and South-central Zones of Silverknife. These findings suggest promising exploration opportunities that need further geophysical evaluation to establish precise drill targets at significant depths.
Beyond technical advancements, the Company is in discussions for a potential earn-in agreement for the Silverknife Project, with hopes for an offer by mid-June. However, no specific terms have been disclosed, and the outcome remains uncertain.
