CMC Metals Reports Positive Metallurgical Tests for Gold Processing Mill

Vancouver, BC – CMC Metals Ltd. (TSX-V:CMB), announced on August 22, 2024, that North Bay Resources (OTC: NBRI) reported favorable results from preliminary metallurgical testing on ore from the Mt. Vernon Gold Mine for processing at the Bishop Mill, California.

CMC Metals Ltd. acquired a 16.05% stake in North Bay Resources Inc., as part of a deal where North Bay Resources acquired a majority interest (55.5%) in CMC's gold processing mill in Bishop, California. Initial tests demonstrated promising recovery rates for gold, platinum, and silver.

The tests used a basic grind and gravity recovery circuit, similar to the one at Bishop Gold Mill, showing significant concentrations of precious metals. This discovery marks a milestone, with platinum being recovered in the region for the first time. Further work is planned to explore the relationship between gold and platinum at the Mt. Vernon site.
