CNP Assurances Completes Sale of Italian Joint Venture Stake to UniCredit

CNP Assurances SA has finalized the sale of its shares in CNP UniCredit Vita to UniCredit. The transaction follows UniCredit's decision to exercise its purchase option, as per their shareholders' agreement. CNP UniCredit Vita, a 51%-owned subsidiary, reported €3.5 billion in premiums and a €43 million profit in 2024. This sale positively impacts CNP Assurances' SCR coverage ratio by approximately 4 points.

Despite this sale, CNP Assurances maintains its strong presence in Italy, its second-largest market. CNP Assicura, a wholly-owned subsidiary, generated €3.2 billion in premiums, reflecting a 19.6% increase, with a profit of €38 million in 2024. The subsidiary secured ten new commercial agreements, underscoring its growth strategy.
