Commerce Resources Achieves High-Grade Rare Earth Concentrate
Commerce Resources Corp. has reported favorable results from flotation locked-cycle testing on its Ashram Deposit, achieving rare earth mineral concentrate grades of 36 to 37% REO with recoveries between 65 to 68%. This surpasses the typical 30% REO grade seen globally. These results are set to be integrated into an upcoming Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) by Q2 2025.
Ross Carroll, CEO, highlighted the process’s ability to optimize recovery while reducing downstream processing needs, potentially lowering project costs. The historical PEA from 2012 was based on a 10% REO concentrate, suggesting significant advancements with the new data.
Next steps include variability and pilot plant testing in early 2025. There’s also an initiative to explore fluorite recovery from tailings due to its strategic importance across several international markets.
