Commerce Resources Secures Conditional $2.6M Funding for Ashram Project Access Road
Commerce Resources Corporation has announced it received conditional approval for funding of $2.6 million CAD from Canada's Critical Minerals Infrastructure Fund. This funding will support the development of an access road to the Ashram Rare Earth and Fluorspar Deposit in Nunavik, Quebec. The project aims to enhance access between the Ashram site and the Koksoak River, facilitating multiple projects in the region.
The funding agreement is part of the Canadian Critical Minerals Strategy, designed to bolster sustainable mineral production. Ross Carroll, CEO of Commerce Resources, highlighted the road's importance for the Ashram deposit's development, which promises economic gains for Indigenous communities in Nunavik.
