Compagnie des Alpes plans to acquire the Urban group, leader in 5-a-side football and co-leader of padel in France
Compagnie des Alpes (CDA) announced the signing of an agreement to acquire 86.5% of the capital of Soccer 5 France SAS, parent company of the Urban group, specializing in 5-a-side football and padel centers. This operation, valued at 129.7 million euros for the shares acquired, is in line with the strategy of diversifying the CDA's leisure offering, adding a sporting dimension accessible all year round.
The Urban group, number one in 5-a-side football and co-leader of padel in France with 3.75 million players annually, manages 33 centers in France and one in Portugal. The growth potential and complementarity with the current activities of the CDA were highlighted, particularly in terms of creating social ties and integration into the CSR policy of Compagnie des Alpes.
The operation should enable CDA to enrich its range of leisure and sports services, while providing development prospects for the Urban group. Indeed, the latter will benefit from the expertise and network of Compagnie des Alpes to increase its presence and influence in the sector of urban and peri-urban sports activities.
