CompuGroup Medical Expands in Northern Europe with Pridok Acquisition

CompuGroup Medical SE & Co. KGaA (CGM), a leader in e-health solutions, has acquired Norwegian software company Pridok AS. Founded in 2013, Pridok specializes in a web-based ambulatory information system, "Pridok EPJ," which enhances doctor workflows and user experience. This acquisition bolsters CGM's presence in Northern Europe, particularly in Norway, where it has been active since 2008 with its product, CGM Journal.

The move allows CGM to offer a web-based solution to its customers and supports further expansion in the digitized Scandinavian markets. Norway's healthcare system is highly modernized, and Pridok's offerings meet future requirements for interoperability and data sharing.

Pridok, established by brothers Jørgen, Jørn, and Frode Gilberg in Tønsberg, Norway, will continue to innovate alongside CGM. The initial purchase price for Pridok's shares is approximately EUR 35.7 million, with potential earnout payments of up to EUR 16.3 million. In 2023, Pridok generated revenues of EUR 4.1 million, marking a 32% increase from the previous year.

CGM CEO Michael Rauch emphasized the acquisition aligns with their mission to prevent medical information shortages. Pridok's Chairman Jørgen Gilberg expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with a global e-health leader familiar with their market's needs.
