ConMet Announces Compelling TruckWings Efficiency Outcomes for CNG and Diesel Trucks at TMC24

ConMet, renowned in the commercial vehicle industry for its innovative solutions, unveiled significant efficiency gains for their TruckWings device on CNG and diesel trucks at the TMC 2024 Annual Meeting. Mesilla Valley Transportation Solutions (MVTS) conducted the tests, revealing a 5.25% efficiency improvement in CNG trucks and a 6.2% improvement in diesel trucks. The tests, rigorous in nature, placed two identical vehicles at 65 MPH on a Texas track, with one equipped with the TruckWings device. This methodology aimed to offer a sound comparison of the efficiency enhancements.

ConMet and MVTS analyzed various factors including fuel consumption and aerodynamics to calculate the efficiency gains, employing proprietary methods. The technological advancements of TruckWings highlight ConMet's commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and providing cost savings for fleets. According to Daniel Burrows, VP and General Manager of TruckWings at ConMet, the combination of ConMet's 60-year legacy and the innovative TruckWings technology stands to optimize heavy-duty truck performance significantly.
