ConMet Unveils Latest Freight Efficiency Technologies at ACT Expo 2024
LAS VEGAS, NV / ACCESSWIRE / May 20, 2024 / ConMet, a leader in sustainable solutions for the transportation industry, is showcasing its latest freight efficiency technologies at ACT Expo 2024. The event is being held from May 20-23 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, where attendees can visit ConMet's booth, number 1220, to explore these advancements.
Among the technologies on display are the Nmotion™ in-wheel power generators, TruckWings® active aerodynamics, PreSet Plus® wheel ends, plastic systems, and lightweight cast components. These solutions underline ConMet's focus on enhancing efficiency and reducing environmental impact in the freight industry.
The Nmotion TR series of power generators is designed for refrigerated trailers, utilizing in-wheel electric motors to power electric transport refrigeration units (eTRU). This technology aims for zero emissions, cutting fuel costs and CO2 output. A complete Nmotion system can be seen at the expo on a Carrier Transicold Vector eCool trailer.
TruckWings technology works by closing the gap between tractor and trailer automatically at highway speeds, boosting aerodynamics and vehicle efficiency by 3-6%. This solution aids fleets in saving fuel and lowering their carbon footprint. A Freightliner eCascadia featuring TruckWings is on display at ConMet’s booth.
Additionally, ConMet’s PreSet Plus wheel ends, made from lightweight aluminum, offer reduced vehicle weight and fuel efficiency benefits. Reengineered seals and bearings further decrease rolling resistance. The use of sustainable plastic systems also contributes to weight reduction and carbon offset.
Visit ConMet at booth 1220 to explore these transformative solutions aimed at revolutionizing freight efficiency.
