on SCOR (EPA:SCR)

Continued growth for SCOR in January 2025 P&C renewals

Stock price chart of SCOR (EPA:SCR) showing fluctuations.

SCOR, a global player in reinsurance, recorded a 9.6% increase in its estimated gross premium income at the January 2025 renewals. This result is in line with its "Forward 2026" strategic plan. Growth was particularly strong in the "Specialty" lines with an increase of 14.3%, and in the "Alternative Solutions" sector, which grew by 29.6%.

While maintaining technical profitability at the expected level, SCOR has strengthened underwriting discipline, particularly in sectors exposed to climate risks and in the United States. Natural catastrophe risk premiums are increasing slightly, but the cautious approach persists in the US market.

The company has managed to maintain stable pricing conditions despite a slight decline in prices across the market, thanks to proactive portfolio management. SCOR expects to continue this momentum in 2025.
