Corsair Group and COUNT Energy Trading Advance in Finnish Plastic Waste Recycling Effort
The partnership between Corsair Group International and COUNT Energy Trading has led to significant progress in the field of sustainable plastic waste management in Finland. The collaboration has enabled the production of Advanced Circular Feedstock (Advanced Bio-oil, Pyrolysis oil) through the advanced recycling of daily household plastic waste. This initiative is set to redefine standards for sustainability.
At their facility in Kaipola Industrial Estate, located in Jämsä, Finland, Corsair's team succeeded in producing the first liters of high-quality Advanced Circular Feedstock despite facing challenging weather conditions with temperatures dropping to -20 degrees Celsius. This achievement highlights the dedication and resilience of both Corsair and COUNT towards their shared goal of sustainability.
Laura Gasnier from COUNT Energy Trading, reflected on the milestone by underscoring the company's commitment to sustainability, which is central to their operational philosophy. Similarly, Jussi Veikko Saloranta, CEO of Corsair Group International, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration with COUNT, viewing it as a step towards a cleaner future by addressing the global need for innovative plastic recycling solutions.
By working together, Corsair and COUNT are not only looking to expand their environmental impact globally, but also to set a precedent for the recycling of plastic waste on par with other commonly recycled materials such as metals, glass, and paper.
