Covestro AG Raises EBITDA Forecast for 2026
Covestro AG has revised its EBITDA forecast for the fiscal year 2026, projecting a significant increase compared to the previous year. The initial forecast anticipated EBITDA to match the 2025 levels, but recent developments prompted an upward adjustment. The preliminary financial results for the first half of 2026 reveal sales amounting to EUR 6,729 million alongside an EBITDA of EUR 669 million. This performance is primarily driven by higher prices, despite a delayed rise in raw material costs.
The company maintains its projections for free operating cash flow (FOCF) and return on capital employed (ROCE) over the weighted average cost of capital (WACC) as significantly improved from 2025. Furthermore, greenhouse gas emissions are expected to range between 3.9 million tons and 4.5 million tons for the year. The complete interim statement will be released by July 31, 2026.
