CSL Broadmeadows Facility Wins 2025 Facility of the Year Award
CSL's Broadmeadows facility in Australia has been named the Overall Winner of the 2025 Facility of the Year Award (FOYA) by the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE). This recognition highlights CSL's commitment to innovation and sustainability within the biopharmaceutical sector.
The facility enhances plasma-derived therapies production for various conditions using advanced technologies like automation, real-time monitoring, robotics, and digital twin infrastructure. These innovations have significantly increased its plasma processing capacity to over 10 million liters annually.
Sustainability is also a key feature, with reusable filters, energy-efficient systems, and an automated warehouse contributing to its eco-friendly design. This accolade also follows a previous award in the Pharma 4.0™ category for the Broadmeadows facility's use of digital technologies.
