Cybersecurity Incident at Synnovis in UK

SYNLAB AG has confirmed that Synnovis, a partnership between two London-based hospital Trusts and SYNLAB UK & Ireland, was subjected to a cyber-attack on June 3, 2024.

A taskforce comprising IT experts from Synnovis and NHS England is working to assess the impact and implement necessary measures. Synnovis is actively coordinating with NHS Trust partners to reduce the effect on patients and service users.

This incident is isolated to Synnovis and unrelated to a previous cyber-attack on SYNLAB Italy in April. Other SYNLAB facilities in the UK remain unaffected.

Regrettably, this situation affects patients with some activities cancelled or redirected due to urgent prioritization. Synnovis is striving to minimize impact and keep patients and partners updated.
