Cyera, a leading data security company, announced it has raised $300 million in a Series C funding round, reaching a valuation of $1.4 billion. The funding effort was led by Coatue, with participation from new investors such as Spark Capital, Georgian, and AT&T Ventures, as well as continued investments from existing partners Sequoia, Accel, Redpoint, and Cyberstarts. This latest funding round brings Cyera's total secured funds to $460 million since its foundation in 2021 by CEO Yotam Segev and CTO Tamar Bar-Ilan.
The company attributes its success to the growing need for Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) solutions amidst increasing AI adoption and the escalation of cyber threats. Cyera's platform aims to streamline data security for enterprises by providing a comprehensive toolset for data governance and protection. This new capital injection will be directed towards enhancing Cyera's platform and expanding its global team, as articulated by CEO Yotam Segev.
Amid rising regulations and the accelerated adoption of AI technologies, Cyera has positioned itself as an integral solution for enterprise data security, earning accolades for its innovative approach. With a commitment to securing a wide range of data across various environments, Cyera also announced the appointment of Jason Clark, a veteran in the security industry, as Chief Strategy Officer. This move marks a significant step in Cyera’s strategy to lead in the AI-driven data security market.
