New Asia Forum Aims for US$30 Billion Investment in Asia's Future
The inaugural New Asia Forum, held from December 3-4 in Bali, Indonesia, seeks to attract US$30 billion in investment into the New Asia. Under the patronage of Prabowo Subianto, President of Indonesia, this forum will serve as a platform for economic partnerships and investment. Danantara Indonesia, the country's sovereign fund, aims to connect long-term capital with Asia's burgeoning opportunities over the next decade.
Asia-Pacific currently contributes about 60% of global economic growth but lacks sufficient long-term international capital. To address this, the New Asia Forum is structured around transaction readiness and capital deployment. Investments will target eight key sectors, including energy, digital infrastructure, and education, each ready for capital infusion.
More than 1,000 leaders are expected to participate, transforming the forum into a significant arena for economic dialogue and investment in Asia.
