DEAG Joins Forces with Black Mamba to Boost Festival Sector Growth

Berlin, 24 June 2024 – DEAG Deutsche Entertainment Aktiengesellschaft has announced a strategic expansion in its festival segment through a cooperation with Black Mamba Event & Marketing GmbH. Black Mamba organizes the renowned Sputnik Spring Break Festival on the Pouch peninsula.

DEAG is already a key player in the EDM, Techno, and Urban music festival sectors, hosting events like Airbeat One, MAYDAY, and NATURE ONE. This new collaboration strengthens DEAG’s position by adding Sputnik Spring Break, a significant multi-genre festival drawing around 30,000 visitors annually.

The partnership aims to realize synergies in production, infrastructure, and artist acquisition, driving continuous margin improvements. The Electronic Music scene in Germany, which has the highest number of monthly listeners globally, will benefit from this cooperation. The sector saw a 17% increase to USD 11.8 billion in 2023, outpacing other music genres.

DEAG organizes over 30 festival events annually across Germany, the UK, Switzerland, Spain, and Ireland, attracting more than 800,000 visitors. With headliners like Cro, Scooter, and Timmy Trumpet, the 2024 Sputnik Spring Break Festival was a resounding success, selling out completely.

DEAG aims to further consolidate the Live Entertainment industry in Germany and Europe while maintaining organic growth. This collaboration marks a significant step in their strategy to fortify their lead in the electronic music festival segment.
