Thai Film Industry Shines at Cannes with Thai Night 2025
The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) successfully orchestrated Thai Night 2025 at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. This event aimed to bolster the global footprint of the Thai film industry and foster international business connections. Presided over by Her Royal Highness Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya, the ceremony gathered over 300 industry figures, highlighting the sector's growth and potential.
In 2024, Thai films achieved a major milestone, surpassing 1 billion baht in domestic revenue. The industry now owns nearly 50% of the local market share, matching the presence of foreign films. Thai Night 2025 served as a platform to illuminate these accomplishments and the creativity of Thai filmmakers.
Alongside the event, the Thai Pavilion showcased film processes and facilitated business networking, underscoring Thailand's status as a leading film production hub with attractive production incentives and diverse locations.
