DePaul University's Driehaus College of Business and Discovery Senior Living Launch New National Leadership Development Program

DePaul University's Driehaus College of Business and Discovery Senior Living have introduced a new leadership development program for 200 company leaders across the country. This initiative, announced on May 30, 2024, is a partnership between Discovery and DePaul's Executive Education Program aimed at enhancing leadership capabilities.

The program caters to the unique needs of Discovery Senior Living, the fifth-largest senior living operator in the United States. This yearlong, virtual certificate program includes four dynamic workshops covering leadership fundamentals. The first workshop emphasizes self-awareness and action planning, led by Professor Erich Dierdorff.

The subsequent workshops focus on recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce, fostering excellence, and driving organizational change from the mid-level. Asynchronous exercises complement the sessions, enabling participants to integrate their skills into their daily work. Completing all four sessions earns participants a certificate from DePaul University.

"We prioritize customization, aligning our programs with organizational goals," said Bob Rubin, Associate Dean at Driehaus. Bill Sciortino, COO at Discovery, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the importance of investing in leadership to attract and retain top talent.
