Deutsche Beteiligungs AG Reports Lower Third Quarter Gains

Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG) announced its expected gross gains and losses on measurement and disposal for the third quarter of the 2023/2024 financial year, which are significantly lower compared to the same period last year. This downturn impacts the consolidated net income for the period.

The portfolio's valuation as of 30 June 2024 has been affected by capital market valuations and the economic performance of portfolio companies. The anticipated gains and losses are projected between 4 and 7 million euros, a notable drop from the 35.4 million euros reported in the previous fiscal year's third quarter.

Based on this, DBAG has updated its net asset value guidance for the full financial year, now estimated to be between 675 and 710 million euros as of 30 September 2024. This reflects a value range of 36.41 to 38.30 euros per share, considering the ongoing share buyback program.

The company will release its interim financial statements and the corresponding quarterly statement on 8 August 2024.
