Deutsche Konsum REIT-AG Announces Intention to Withdraw Secondary Listing from Johannesburg Stock Exchange
On March 26, 2024, Deutsche Konsum REIT-AG ("DKR"), a company primarily listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, announced plans to withdraw its secondary listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE). The decision comes after the company's listing on March 8, 2021, aimed at attracting South African investors, did not achieve the anticipated market results. DKR has engaged in numerous initiatives and discussions with investors but has not seen the expected outcome in terms of market capitalization growth or investor interest from the South African market.
DKR intends to focus its efforts solely on its primary listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and its existing shareholder base. The process of delisting from the JSE will be conducted in accordance with the JSE Listings Requirements. DKR is set to begin discussions with its South African shareholders and the JSE to ensure a smooth transition. The company will release further details on the delisting process as they become available. Shareholders are advised to await further announcements regarding the company’s securities.
