DILAX Becomes Part of the INIT Group
Init innovation in traffic systems SE (ISIN DE 0005759807) announced the acquisition of international data management specialist DILAX Intelcom GmbH, effective from 6 September 2024. The move aims to accelerate growth through ongoing digitalization and increased public investment in rail infrastructure.
Marco Ferber, CFO of Init, highlighted the potential synergies in hardware and software development. With DILAX, Init gains access to over 300 long-standing customers, expanding its reach in Europe and North America. Positive sales and earnings effects are expected as early as this year.
DILAX, founded in 1988, reports a turnover of around 20 million euros with 160 employees. The company operates in 1,800 cities across 30 countries, providing hardware and software for urban areas. Key clients include international vehicle manufacturers and transport companies.
Jörg Munz, Init’s Chief Human Resources Officer, noted that the acquisition will strengthen Init’s research and development capabilities along with providing expertise in related product fields. A double-digit percentage increase in sales revenue and EBIT is anticipated for 2024.
