DON'T NOD provides an update on activity for the first half of 2024
Paris, September 23, 2024 - DON'T NOD, a video game publisher and studio, has presented its results for the first half of 2024. Revenue fell by 11% compared to 2023, from €16.5 million to €14.6 million. The decline is due to disappointing sales of its new titles, Jusant and Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden.
The company recorded an operating loss of €1m. Development revenues fell by €2m, reflecting the completion of Banishers. In addition, capitalised production fell by €1.1m following the idling of two production lines.
To counter these results, DON'T NOD depreciated its assets by €31.6 million. It is now focusing on high-potential projects such as Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, scheduled for early 2025, and two internal titles scheduled for release before 2027.
The company is temporarily putting two Parisian projects on hold to optimize resources. Despite these measures, an exceptional negative result of €8.5 million is expected for this half-year.
