Drägerwerk AG Reports Strong Demand in Early 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA experienced robust demand, surpassing the previous year's order intake by approximately EUR 50 million, reaching EUR 861 million. Despite this success, net sales remained close to last year's levels at EUR 730 million, with the operating result slightly positive at EUR 0.4 million.

The EMEA region was the primary growth driver, while both the medical and safety divisions saw an increase in order intake, notably in engineered solutions and gas detection devices. However, net sales in both divisions showed a slight decline due to regional variances.

Despite a higher gross margin of 45.8%, rising functional expenses influenced by increased personnel costs impacted earnings. Dräger continues to forecast a net sales increase of 1.0 to 5.0 percent for the year, though uncertainties remain concerning US customs policy and currency fluctuations.
