Drilling at Sunday Creek reveals impressive increase in gold and antimony grades
Mawson Gold Limited has announced that Southern Cross Gold has released promising drilling data from three holes in the Apollo area of its Sunday Creek project in Australia. These results show a significant increase in gold and antimony grades with depth, notably 34.9 meters at 6.1 g/t AuEq.
Holes SDDSC106 and SDDSC109 have intersected several high-grade veins, revealing sections containing up to 59.9 g/t gold and 34.5% antimony. These results support the hypothesis of a high-grade "Cinderella" zone at depth, in line with previously established geological observations for the region.
With eight holes still being analyzed and three more being drilled, Mawson Gold, holding 51% of Southern Cross Gold's shares, values its stake at CAD 105.2 million. These discoveries increase the volume and grade of the initial exploration target, reinforcing optimism about the potential of Sunday Creek.
