E-PASS Offers 50% Toll Savings for Florida Drivers in Statewide Relief Program
The Central Florida Expressway Authority has announced a significant toll relief program for E-PASS customers, enabling a 50% reduction in monthly toll expenses starting from April 1. This initiative, endorsed by Gov. Ron DeSantis, aims to alleviate financial burdens for frequent commuters in Florida. The discount applies specifically to two-axle vehicles that register 35 or more trips monthly, with automatic eligibility for the program, requiring no additional registration steps.
Applicable across all toll roads and most bridges throughout Florida, the discount extends to users of the E-PASS sticker, and the 19-state Uni portable toll passes, including college-themed passes like GatorPass, KnightPass, and NolePass. Notably, vehicles with three or more axles will continue to benefit from up to a 25% toll savings under the existing CFX Volume Savings Program.
CFX Executive Director Michelle Maikisch expressed the organization's commitment to customer welfare and satisfaction in collaborating with the state to deliver these toll savings. She highlighted E-PASS's role as a pioneering electronic toll system in Florida, supporting nearly 1.6 million customers since its inception in 1994. E-PASS users in good standing automatically qualify for the discount after their transponder records the requisite number of transactions, with the credit applied to their account the following month.
