Eagle Plains Bids Farewell to Visionary Founder Bob Termuende
Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. (“Eagle Plains”) announces the peaceful passing of its founder, Robert (Bob) Termuende, at age 94. Bob remained a loyal shareholder and powerful ambassador of the company until the end.
Born in 1930 in Kenton, Manitoba, Bob moved to British Columbia in 1945. After high school, he served as a tank commander in the US Army during post-WWII Germany. He later earned a bachelor's degree in geological sciences at the University of British Columbia.
Bob's career spanned various significant roles in the resource industry, including working for Chevron and founding Rio Alto Exploration. His ventures led to successful acquisitions, such as Canadian Natural Resources' purchase of Rio Alto for $2.4 billion in 2002.
In retirement, Bob enjoyed life at Wild Horse Farm in Fort Steele, BC, and was an active Rotary International member. He was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal for his contributions to Canada.
Bob's legacy is marked by his honesty, integrity, and relentless spirit. His work and values leave a lasting impact on all who knew him.
