Eagle Royalties Provides Update on Mount Polley West Copper-Gold Project
Eagle Royalties Ltd. announced that crews have been mobilized to the Mount Polley West Project in central British Columbia. The company holds a 2% net smelter royalty on certain claims of the 5246 ha project area, which may be partially bought back by Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. for $1 million.
The MPW project is located 52 km northeast of Williams Lake, targeting copper and gold mineralization within the Central Quesnel Belt. It benefits from excellent infrastructure, including roads and powerlines, and is adjacent to several mines, both operational and in development.
Geologically, the property includes sedimentary and volcanic rocks, with documented occurrences of copper-bearing minerals. Exploration has varied over decades, with recent increases in activity identifying potential deeper porphyry copper sources.
This year’s fieldwork, managed by TerraLogic Exploration, will focus on till sampling to identify bedrock mineralization sources. Results will inform future exploration, potentially including geophysical surveys and trenching.
