EarthCruiser Shuts Down After 16 Years in Overland Industry
EarthCruiser USA, LLC, a distinguished name in the manufacturing of off-road expedition vehicles, declared the cessation of its operations, marking an end to a 16-year era of travel and automotive innovation. Based in Bend, Oregon, the company has announced April 25, 2024 as its final day of business.
Since launching in 2008, EarthCruiser had carved a niche in designing robust vehicles, catering to outdoor enthusiasts worldwide with models like the EXP, FX, Terranova, and the GMC HUMMER EV EarthCruiser Upfit. Despite the successes and a trailblazing reputation, adverse market conditions and economic factors have pressed the firm to discontinue operations.
Lance Gillies, the CIO and Founder, expressed his gratitude towards customers, staff, and partners for their enduring support and trusted relations integral to their journey. With a legacy of enhancing overlanding experience, EarthCruiser bids farewell, hoping its influence in travel and innovation will persist as inspiring legacies.
In its closing chapter, EarthCruiser collaborates with professionals for an orderly liquidation, adhering to state laws. The overlanding community and loyal supporters are acknowledged for their role in the company’s narrative, and further details on the liquidation process will be communicated in due course.
