EasyJet Announces Share Awards to Directors and Managers Under SIP Program

EasyJet plc disclosed on 9 April 2024 that a series of share awards were granted on 5 April 2024 as part of their ongoing Share Incentive Plan (SIP). This plan, approved by HMRC, is designed to incentivize employees through the "Performance (Free) Shares" scheme. Ordinary shares, valued at up to £3,000 each, have been awarded to various eligible employees under this initiative.

Significantly, top managers and directors within EasyJet have been beneficiaries of this scheme. Key personnel, including CEO Johan Lundgren, CFO Kenton Jarvis, and other senior executives such as Robert Birge, Stuart Birrell, and Jane Storm, received 537 shares each. This move aligns with the company’s strategy to foster long-term commitment and performance among its leadership team and employees.

The shares awarded will become available to the recipients after three years from the award date, contingent upon continuous service within the company. This structured approach underlines EasyJet's focus on sustained service and loyalty among its key staff members, potentially impacting the company's long-term growth and stability.
