EcoGraf Announces 110% Increase in Epanko Ore Reserve
EcoGraf Limited has reported a significant update to the Ore Reserve for its Epanko Graphite Project in Tanzania. The company has announced a 110% increase in Proven Ore Reserves, providing enhanced confidence in metrological factors and project economics.
The updated reserve stands at 14.3 million tonnes (Mt) at 8.8% total graphitic carbon (TGC), equating to 1.25 Mt of contained graphite. This marks a 29% increase in contained graphite compared to the previous estimate in June 2017.
The reserve update is rooted in the 2024 Mineral Resource and EcoGraf’s “Oxide Ore first” strategy, which promises improved plant throughput and cost-efficient mining operations. Initial 18-year Life of Mine (LOM) is predicted, with potential expansion up to 300,000 tpa.
Included in the new design are plans for an 850,000 tpa flotation processing plant, further enhancing the project’s viability and operational benefits.
