Edding Aktiengesellschaft presents preliminary results for 2023 and announces forecasts for 2024

edding Aktiengesellschaft reported, according to preliminary figures, group turnover of 160.8 million euros for the financial year 2023, slightly lower than projections. This performance was mainly attributable to the Office & Industry Supplies (OFIS) business unit, while the Creative & Home (CREHO) and Collaboration @ Work (COWO) units saw their sales decline slightly.

The consolidated operating result (EBIT) stood at -2.4 million euros, a first negative in the group's history attributed to the sale of edding Argentina SA and its negative deconsolidation effects. Without this effect, the group's EBIT would have been positive, at 3.1 million euros. Despite an annual loss, a dividend is planned for the 2024 Annual General Meeting.

For the financial year 2024, edding expects an improvement in results with a moderate increase in turnover and an estimated group EBIT of between 3.0 million and 6.0 million euros. The net result in the individual financial statements of edding AG is expected to be between 0.0 million and 2.0 million euros.
