EGS Beteiligungen AG Converts Bond, Increases Stake in Siegfried to 6.2%
EGS Beteiligungen AG has utilized its right to convert a CHF 40 million convertible bond, issued in December 2020 with a 0.650% coupon, into shares. This conversion results in EGS Beteiligungen receiving 51,899 shares of Siegfried Holding AG, raising its stake from 5.0% to about 6.2% registered shares, and approximately 7.2% including its remaining purchase position. The shares will be delivered from Siegfried's treasury without issuing new ones.
In December 2020, EGS Beteiligungen AG participated in Siegfried’s acquisition of two pharmaceutical production sites in Spain through two hybrid convertible bonds. These bonds allow EGS Beteiligungen to convert them into shares of Siegfried Holding AG under certain conditions.
Siegfried’s interim CEO Reto Suter stated, "This conversion significantly increases the shareholding of EGS Beteiligungen AG and demonstrates its trust in Siegfried."
