Eiffage Consortium Secures €54.5 Million Contract for Dunkirk Housing Renovation
Eiffage, through subsidiaries Eiffage Construction and Eiffage Énergie Systèmes, has won a contract in consortium with various architecture and engineering firms for renovating 569 social housing units in the Glacis district of Dunkirk, France. The project, awarded by Partenord Habitat, is valued at €54.5 million, with Eiffage's share being €36.7 million.
The renovation will include multiple buildings and employ full BIM-CIM digital modeling for enhanced project management. The development carries labels like “ÉcoQuartier” and “BBC Rénovation 2024,” ensuring improved energy efficiency and living conditions by upgrading energy ratings from D to B. Solar panels and electrical upgrades will further enhance sustainability.
Environmental efforts include recycling 70% of construction waste and utilizing biosourced materials. Eiffage aims to allocate 34,400 hours to jobs promoting employment access and will engage local SMEs for 59% of the work. Construction is set to begin in June 2025, with studies already in progress.
