Electrical Geophysical Integration Reveals Upside at Piuquenes Cu–Au Porphyry Project, San Juan
Pampa Metals Corp. (CSE:PM)(FSE:FIR)(OTCQB:PMMCF) has announced significant findings from the integration of historic electrical geophysical data at the Piuquenes Cu-Au Project in San Juan, Argentina. Key datasets used include a 2016 Induced Polarization-Resistivity survey and a Natural Source Magneto-Telluric survey.
The data suggests a northeast trend for the Piuquenes system, with chargeability data outlining the Piuquenes Central as a prominent anomaly. This includes a moderate chargeability zone believed to be linked to the mineralized core. Inversion models also indicate potential new targets along the northeast trend.
The Magneto-Telluric data indicates a high-resistivity, pipe-like zone associated with the Piuquenes Central porphyry, suggesting underlying large-scale intrusion. The company is integrating this data to finalize a 3D geological model and prepare for the 2024/25 field season, which will involve further drilling and geophysical studies.
Pampa Metals President and CEO, Joseph van den Elsen, views this integration as a validation of the Piuquenes project. Next steps include drill testing Piuquenes East and exploring additional potential deposits.
