The Siem Reap court rejects the €8 million claim against VAK.
The company Electricité et Eaux de Madagascar, known as EEM, recently announced a favorable court decision concerning its subsidiary, Victoria Angkor Company Limited (VAK). The Siem Reap Court of First Instance in Cambodia issued a judgment on October 2, 2025, which was communicated on November 21, 2025, rejecting a claim amounting to $9,236,000, or approximately €8 million.
This claim was filed in May 2024 by former minority shareholders of VAK. They alleged the existence of unpaid dividends from the Cambodian subsidiary. The court's decision represents a significant relief for Electricité et Eaux de Madagascar, thus securing its position in the sector.
