Enapter AG Secures Monumental Electrolyzer Order from Italy
Enapter AG has secured its largest single European order for its cutting-edge megawatt-class AEM electrolyzers, destined for Italy. The deal, crossing the upper seven-figure euro threshold, marks a significant milestone for renewable energy-based hydrogen production. The Berlin-based company will deliver three multicore units, each with a 1MW capacity, to CFFT SpA, a logistics firm operating a harbor near Rome. CFFT plans to use these electrolyzers in a hydrogen refueling system powered by renewable energy.
Additionally, the metalworking company F.i.l.m.s SpA has also placed an order for a 1MW multicore-class Enapter electrolyzer. Specializing in hard metal parts, F.i.l.m.s aims to produce green hydrogen to replace conventional hydrogen and ultimately transition fully from natural gas to green hydrogen for its production processes. These new orders underscore the growing industrial demand for scalable, efficient, and iridium-free electrolyzers for green hydrogen production.
Jürgen Laakmann, CEO of Enapter, highlighted the significance of these orders in the context of the energy transition. He emphasized the flexibility and scalability of Enapter's AEM technology, which is attracting companies looking to produce their own renewable energy and support their expansion plans. Laakmann's statement reflects the company's strong position to aid the industrial sector in its shift towards sustainable energy practices.
