Encavis and Commerzbank Secure Financing for Bartow Solar Project
Encavis Asset Management AG and Commerzbank AG have finalized the financial arrangements for the Bartow solar project, Germany's second-largest solar park. The project, located in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, north of Berlin, will have a total generation capacity of 260 MW.
The financing volume of 145 million euros has been provided by Commerzbank, with equity from the Encavis Infrastructure Fund IV. Construction began in March 2024, with completion expected in the second half of 2025. The majority of the produced green electricity will be sold to LyondellBasell through a 12-year Power Purchase Agreement.
This project underscores both companies' commitment to sustainable energy, contributing significantly to Germany's energy transition.
