ENCAVIS Expands Wind Farm Portfolio with New Acquisitions in Germany
ENCAVIS AG has announced the acquisition of two wind farms from Enertrag SE, currently under construction, with a combined capacity of 36 MW. This move strengthens ENCAVIS' wind energy footprint in Germany. The Bonnhagen site, with a capacity of 24 MW, is located near Wismar, with grid connection expected by September 2025. The Roitzsch site, offering 12 MW, is near Leipzig, with grid connection anticipated in March 2025.
Mario Schirru, CIO/COO of Encavis, highlighted the growth of their wind portfolio in Germany to approximately 376 MW. Dr. Gunar Hering, CEO of ENERTRAG, noted the shared vision for sustainable energy between the companies. The electricity from both farms benefits from a 20-year EEG feed-in tariff, ensuring revenue stability. Upon completion, the Bonnhagen facility is expected to generate 77 GWh and Roitzsch 34 GWh annually.
