Energiekontor AG: Performance on Track in the First Half of 2024
Bremen, 12 August 2024 - Energiekontor AG, based in Bremen, has expanded its project pipeline as planned in the first half of 2024. The company's revenue increased by almost a third to 78 million euros. Total income fell to 95.7 million euros, and operating expenses decreased slightly. EBIT was 23.5 million euros, and net profit after taxes was 11.8 million euros. Earnings per share amounted to 0.85 euros.
No projects were sold in H1 2024, causing lower contributions from the project development segment. Despite this, revenues increased to 33.6 million euros. Three wind parks with 79 megawatts total generating capacity were commissioned.
The power generation segment's revenue was steady at 41.8 million euros, but EBT fell to 14.3 million euros. Energiekontor's own portfolio reached 384 megawatts, with production at 320 gigawatt hours.
Challenges included limited equipment availability and UK grid delays. Group EBT guidance remains at 30 to 70 million euros for 2024, expecting higher earnings in 2025 and 2026.
