Energiekontor AG Secures Building Permits for Wind Parks in Scotland and Germany

Energiekontor AG has announced the acquisition of building permits for four wind park projects across Scotland and Germany, enhancing its UK project pipeline. The projects boast a combined capacity exceeding 220 megawatts. In early January 2025, the company secured its first permit of the financial year for a North Scotland site, which will feature up to 11 turbines and a 73-megawatt capacity.

Further permits were granted for two additional projects in South Scotland, totaling 136 megawatts. Additionally, a permit for a 15-megawatt facility in Lower Saxony, Germany, was obtained. CEO Peter Szabo highlighted the strategic significance of these developments, emphasizing the robust Scottish pipeline and a positive start to the financial year.
