Energiekontor AG Sells Scottish Wind Park Project to Uniper

Energiekontor AG, a leading German developer of renewable energy projects, has announced the sale of a Scottish onshore wind park to Uniper UK, a subsidiary of the global energy company Uniper. Located in southwest Scotland, the wind park is set to have a generation capacity of 46 megawatts using seven Nordex N163 turbines. These turbines will each feature a maximum tip height of 200 meters and a rotor diameter of 163 meters.
The expected annual energy yield of approximately 158 gigawatt hours will power over 66,000 homes. The project benefits from an inflation-linked feed-in tariff secured in the UK's 2023 energy auction. Energiekontor CEO Peter Szabo expressed satisfaction at achieving this milestone with Uniper, underscoring the project's significance within the UK's renewable energy landscape.
